Preschool Program

In the Preschool program, children begin to engage in shared play experiences as they move from parallel to cooperative play. Teachers give thoughtful consideration to children’s interests as they provide play and learning experiences to promote creative expression, building of math and literacy skills and dramatic play.

Children begin to assume pretend play roles and to negotiate play with peers.

Number sense is developed through practice with patterning, counting using one-to correspondence and working with geometric shapes.

Through read-alouds and reading books with peers, children learn about the elements of stories and basics concepts of print.
